Transportören Logistik increases terminal- & warehousing activities in Årsta
- ”We've noticed an increased demand in terminal- & warehousing services. There is an especially high demand for cross-docking services.The new terminal will be a welcome addition to our product porfolio to swiftly load and unload cargo for further distribution." says Jan Berndtson, Marketing manager at Transportören AB.
On monday the 12th of March, our subsidiary Transportören Logistik AB opens its doors at Fiskhallsvägen 18 in Årsta, just 200 meters from the current terminal at Partihandlarvägen 2.
Our current terminal will be refined into a warehousing facility.

New trucks on Gothenburg - Stockholm linehaul
The first of four new trucks has been delivered - and we're thrilled about it!
All new trucks are Euro class 5 (highest rating) and are equipped with onboard computers to help reduce emissions.
New co-worker in Norrköping!
The newly started office in Norrköping has grown with another gifted freight forwarder.
John Jardman began his work the 1st of November and alongside Mats, he will be helping our clients in the region.
Increased capacity
To meet the ever growing demands and volumes we've increased our transport capacity between Gothenburg-Eskilstuna-Norrköping.
Our centrally located distribution terminal in Årsta has since the start on the 29th of November 2010 seen increasing volumes. To further develop our investment we have leased another 1500m2, with an abundance of gates for quick handling.

Vårruset 2011 in Gothenburg was as cozy as usual
Thanks to all the girls that came along and ran the Vårruset spring-run in Gothenburg!
As usual, we met in Slottskogen - and this time there were about 40 girls + some male servants!

New co-worker in Gothenburg
Starting the 4th of April we have new co-worker at the traffic dispatch in Gothenburg - Stefan Roos!
Stefan has previously worked with everything from economy to transport administration.
We encourage all our clients to call Stefan and "welcome" him!
Transportören expands to Norrköping!
The 28th of March, Transportören opens up a new office in Norrköping. It's purpose is to build a new domestic distribution center with Norrköping and Linköping at its core.
- "Norrköping and its surroundings have great potential. Many of our customers are operating from Norrköping and we want to be where things happen. Our ambition is to affiliate ourselfs with local providers and clients, instead of, as is normal in todays climate, centralize operations." says CEO Niclas Berndtson och continues:
"We're convinced that local representation will be mutually beneficial for all parts involved."
Mats Eriksson (formerly of Kuehne+Nagel), which is the new Branch Manager states:
- "In addition to the local representation which Niclas tells about, my ambition is also that we will be able to offer a full-service cross-docking solution for domestic distribution from Norrköping to and from the entire country. My experience is that local businesses as well as European customers lack a stable partner for just that."

Our office in Stockholm moves to a new facility!
This friday the 26th of November at 12:00 (12am), we will close our office at Drivhjulsvägen in Hägersten.
That's because it's time for us to move to new (and bigger) facilities at Partihandlarvägen 2 in Årsta, Stockholm!

New domestic route between Gothenburg-Östergötland
During the summer, we've experienced increasing volumes of cargo between Gothenburg and Östergötland (Norrköping, Linköping, Motala for instance).
The increase in volume coupled with the fact that alof of external hauliers/truckers have decreased their presence on this route or stopped their traffic entirely has led to a servere capacity shortage.
That is why we're glad to present our two new trucks which will load between Gothenburg and Östergötland every day. This new line along with our existing lines (Gothenburg-Eskilstuna, Gothenburg-Malmö and Gothenburg-Stockholm) secures capacity and elevates the level of service our customers enjoy!
Transportouren Golf 2010
This years edition of Transportouren Golf was held the 1st of September.
About 40 clients and contractors proved themselfs on S:t Jörgen Golfcourse, och we've finally pieced together a short slideshow of the event.

Transportören AB opens "Transportören Logisitk", a new terminal in Stockholm
- "We've been looking for a good, central terminal in Stockholm and when the opportunity presented itself with Team Spargo, we didn't hesitate."

The fact that we now have a central terminal with Team Spargo as our partner, is very pleasing" says Niclas Berndtson of Transportören and continues: "With an addition of seven distribution trucks in our regional distribution-area and about 1300 sq. meters (14000 sq. feet) we can now recieve, unload, store and distribute cargo over the entire Stockholm-region. From here, we will also handle incoming trailers with cargo for distribution within Sweden and the Nordic countries."
The new terminal will operate under the name "Transportören Logistik" and is situated at Partihandlarvägen 2 in Årsta (a suburb of Stockholm). The offices of Transportören in Stockholm at Drivhjulsvägen in Hägersten will move to the new building.

Working with digital invoices has clear environmental- & efficiency-benefits.
In terms of environmental benefits, digital invoices speak for themselfs; less consumption of paper and fewer transports for instance.
Some of the efficiency benefits include faster invoicing procedures as 1-3 days of transportation is cut from the delivery time.
If you have support for EDI, one scenario is; you send your booking to us, we respond instantly with a price - and upon completion of the service, we send the invoice. If the price on the invoice matches that given to your system at the time of booking - it can be automatically verified and sent for payment. Talk about an effective procedure.
At Transportören, we can either send the invoices digitally in form of EDI-invoices sent directly to your system för signing and payment.

Since the launch of our webportal in 2006, more and more of our clients have chosen to take advantage of a digital workflow with us.
A couple of days ago we passed a "milestone" where we could note that 40% of incoming orders came via the webportal. That signals how important it is to actively develop the portal - and to do so, we need input and opinions from those who use it; YOU!
We've developed and enhanced over 20 functions so far - and we're working on more!
For those of you who lack access, or need help getting started - just get in touch and we'll show you. It's easier to use than you might think.
The benefits of the webportal are many - but we don't assume that it fits you perfectly. For that reason we work diligently on improving our service both by phone, e-mail and fax.
If you already have all the information you need to create orders with us in your existing computer programs, then perhaps it would be more efficient to transfer the details directly to us - without having to go through the manual registration in the webportal? It might be a great timesaver to have quotations, prices, distances and chargeable weights calculated and delivered directly to your system at the same time you make your order?
