The EU is introducing a new regulatory framework, ETS2, aimed at reducing emissions from road transport. This means that fuel suppliers will gradually be required to purchase emission allowances for fossil fuels such as diesel. As this system is phased in, fuel prices are expected to rise over time.
For you as a customer, this may affect future transport costs. Transportören AB follows the fuel index provided by the Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies (T08SÅ13MD), which reflects the actual development of fuel prices.
ETS2 is an EU regulation that introduces an emission-related cost via fuel suppliers. To the extent that this cost influences the market price of fuel, it will gradually be reflected in the fuel index. We therefore closely monitor both fuel price developments and ETS2, and reserve the right to adjust our surcharges if the cost increases are not fully captured by the index.
